This is what we are built for. We are Fear Free certified, which means we are trained to read a dog for fear, anxiety and stress before and during the groom, and to change what we are doing before it escalates. Anxious dogs get a calmer, slower process here — more breaks, gentler handling, and no pushing through a dog who has had enough. Tell us about your dog’s anxiety when you book so we can plan the visit around it from the start. One of our regulars, Renata, put it this way: “My rescue is terrified of everyone except Bianca. She takes her time and it shows.”

Never. That is the whole point of fear-free grooming. Sedation does not teach a dog that the salon is safe; time, patience and the same familiar groomer do. If a dog genuinely cannot cope on a given day, we stop rather than force it, and we talk with you about how to build up to it.

Yes. Your dog gets the same groomer every visit, so nobody is ever a stranger with clippers. Dogs learn a person, and that familiarity is a big part of why a nervous dog settles here over time.

Bianca trained as a vet nurse before grooming full time, and it changed how she works. Every dog gets read for stress before anything else happens — the way a nurse assesses an animal before handling it.

For a full groom, a bath and tidy or a deshedding treatment, yes — book online. Nail trims are walk-in any time we are open, no appointment needed.

A grooming appointment runs from 45 minutes to two hours depending on the service and your dog. A nail trim takes about ten minutes.

No deposit. Book and pay on the day.

We ask for 24 hours’ notice so the time can go to another dog. If you give us less than that, there is no charge — we are flexible. Just let us know as soon as you can.

Your dog, on lead, and anything we should know about their anxiety, reactivity or health. That is it.

Bath, brush-out, breed-specific cut, ears, nails and a bandana to go home in. From $75 depending on size and coat.

A bath and tidy is a wash, dry, and a tidy of the face and paws, for dogs who do not need a full cut. A full groom adds the brush-out, the breed-specific body cut, ears and nails. Bath and tidy from $45; full groom from $75.

Because a Chihuahua and a Newfoundland are not the same job. Prices depend on the size of your dog and the condition of the coat. Once we have quoted you, that is the price you pay — no extras on the day. Nail trims are a fixed $15.

Yes. Cat grooming is not on our itemised price list, so please ring us on 07 5476 8890 to talk about your cat.

Yes, and we recommend starting early. A calm, gentle first visit teaches a puppy that grooming is normal, and it makes every visit afterwards easier for both of you.

We do. Every groom is done by us, in our salon at 7/22 Burnett Street, Buderim. Nothing is handed off or outsourced.

It lifts the loose, dead undercoat out of a double-coated dog using specialised shampoo and conditioner, a high-velocity dry and thorough brushing. The result is noticeably less fur in the house for weeks afterwards. It does not stop shedding altogether — nothing does — but it removes what was already on its way out. From $35 depending on size and coat. Our first blog post covers how often a double-coated dog needs grooming.

Shaving a double-coated dog is generally discouraged in the grooming trade. It removes the coat’s protection from sun and its ability to insulate against heat, and the coat often grows back patchy and thicker in the undercoat. A proper deshedding treatment does more for a hot dog than a shave does.

Gentle products help — the oatmeal sensitive-skin shampoo we use in the salon is available in our shop — but persistent itching, redness, bald patches or broken skin need a vet, not a groomer. Anything on this page about skin and coats is general information, not veterinary advice.
